Disabled Child grant for Home Modification

We have a disabled child.  He is six years old with Cerebral Palsy.  We are searching for grants/funding to do some modification to our home to accomodate his disAbility.  We are looking to install handicap accessible bathroom facilities, widen the 30" doorways to accomodate his new power wheelchair, install new windows, (ours are 26" wide, a safety hazard as they are not large enough to lift him through at his current age and size) install a ramp and deck where he can easily transfer himself into the house with some assistance, among other things.  Can you PLEASE direct me to someone or some programs that can help with these huge expenses???   Are there private organizations that will help us?  We live in Illinois, if that helps any!!

Please and thank you soooooo much!

We are an average family looking for assistance to modify our home to accomodate our son's disAbility of cerebral palsy.  We are in need of grant money to fund this project as our budget is already strapped.  We live in a single family, ranch style home in a town of about 700 people.  Our son attends public school with the help of an AWESOME one-on-one aid.  We are facing some EXTREME safety issues as he continues to grow.  The bedroom windows would not be large enough to lift him through in the event we needed to escape quickly (they are 26" wide), we have only one bathroom, which is 5' X 8'.  We need to add on to our home and enlarge the bathroom to accomodate special needs equipment for toileting and bathing.  We have ordered him a power wheelchair.  Neither the bedroom nor the bathroom doors will accomodate this chair.  We are in need of adding a deck and a ramp so he can help transition himself in and out of the house to the school bus.
